Welcome to our new and improved website! We revamped our site to reflect all the new things happening with Kids Splash Class. We plan to update our blog regularly throughout the year with helpful tips, tricks, and info about swimming and water safety. We hope you will find our content useful in getting your child/children/yourself prepared for a lifelong love of swimming.
About
Ms. Michelle and Ms. Jessie have been teaching swimming lessons together since 1999. We started Kids Splash Class in 2013. We have over 20 years’ experience teaching and have taught over 500 students. We are passionate about teaching the life-saving skill of swimming to students of all ages. We offer several class options:
- week-long lessons, typically in mid-June
- mini-sessions, typically in early July
- private lessons
2020 Update
We are both so grateful for our growing families. However, we miss teaching our students this year!! We love watching our students grow and learn. While it was hard to make the decision to not teach lessons in 2020, we both felt it was the right choice for our students, our students’ families, and our own growing families.
Plans for 2021
We plan to offer classes again in 2021, provided the state of affairs with the COVID-19 pandemic have improved. Please stay tuned and subscribe to our blog, Facebook, and/or Instagram accounts to receive updates. We will offer Mommy & Me, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 classes, but will be flexible based on our students’ needs. We will be posting schedules and other updates on our website and our social media accounts regularly.
Exciting News!
We are also working on publishing our first children’s book about learning how to swim! We are very excited about this project. We hope it will serve our students, their families, and others who are preparing to take swimming lessons. The book is designed with a Level 1 student in mind. Our Level 1 students are very beginners and are usually between 3 1/2 and 5 years old. The book is about a boy who attends swim lessons without a parent for the first time. He learns how to blow bubbles, make ice cream scoops with his hands, and kick his feet. He overcomes his nervousness and puts his face in the water when it’s his turn to swim to the teacher. He works through a lot of emotions and in the end finds that he can learn to swim without floaties if he does what his teacher asks him to do. He is excited to move up to Level 2! We hope that our book will be available in early 2021. This will allow parents to read the book to their kids before it’s time to take swimming lessons. Please stay tuned to learn more!
